I stand corrected,why does it say not to use crimps with fluorocarbon if boom is a fluoro.I have been using boom and crimps and had no issues at all though

If you have lost confidence in it and want a stiff hook link they you could check out ridge monkey stiff coated braid in 35lb. It'll need a steam to make it straight but when it's steamed it's fabulous.

I gonne give Gemini a try not that 19lb breakpoint on Korda boom is bad but my own hand made rigs/loops are stronger that what Korda sells...

gardener do a 60lb Flouro Carbon called slinky for 100m at £8.50 it's superb and I rate it highly that I've not used the Korda boom for a few years now. They do lower breaking strain lines as well I just wanted a particularly stiff boom for the Ronnie rig.


Well worth checking out.

I've been crimping Korda iq2 in 20lb with no issues. If you can't pull it apart with 2 pulla tools it will never go when playing a fish.

I know, but they advertise/sell it as: stronger than knotted

If i buy 25lb Korda booms and the snap at 16 lb with 2 pullers then there is something wrong
