Oh nice one. Only ever considered it for braid to mono, I'll check it out as the back to back grinner with 0.5 is quite a fat knot.

I might try a short length of tubing and see how that works out.

No worries should be a nice small carrot shaped knot when you finish... Just do it very carefully and slowly with a good bit of spit 😁
