I've never said thet can't chap, but once again they can be done safely, whereas fake baits cannot. If something is impossible to use safely then it shouldn't be used, end of. Using them is irresponsible

There is actually a quite rare richworth sweetcorn flavour on ebay atm, i've done well making my own corn shape pop ups in the past using 10ml richworth corn flavour, 1ml betalin, 1 teaspoon of betaine, 20ml nutramino to a 1 egg mix

I tend to use plastic now myself because the naturals where I fish love to whittle your baits down to nothing

No excuse for it. Hardened hookbaits get around that problem

If you are so concerned lobby a petition to get them removed from the shelves. I haven't lost a rig with a piece of plastic on it yet, its not my fault some can't angle responsibly. I'll judge saftey on the results and experiences of using things myself as long as the rules allow, instead off some numpty under gunned

If you crack off the chances of a rig being picked up in the first week well the fresh bait is still edible is a hell of a lot more than it will be on week 2, 3 and 4 I would imagine. If its not been picked up in the first week the chances are it won't be i would suggest. In that case a fresh bait is just as 'lethal', its funny how you never see birds like tuftys and coots reguarly trailing around plastic hookbaits isn't it?

Ask Rob Hughes how many fish he finds tetheredup with plastic baits when he is diving

Have you asked Rob hughes then? Give me evidence instead of theory and I'll listen, photos of your drained pools etc, failing that I'll stick to my answers below

I've no need, I've reeled in a fish with a rig baited with a plastic pellet before. No theory, it's fact. Same as using fake baits is irresponsible, fact.
