what's the diameter roughly of those briquettes out of interest?
EDIT, If of interest to anyone, re the fire lighters, we got a wood stove last year and I did a lot of looking round for wood wool fire lighters re value, and the best I got was B&M, the 400g bags conatin around 30 for £1.99, 300 for £19.99

The postage covers a few boxes too so really cheap if you uy more than one. I got 2. Not got a cobb though

bloody hell ! thats going to last you forever !
Best used if stood upright in the Cobb Firebasket like their own mini chimneys take a bit longer to light than normal shaped briquettes however so worth it as
3cm lengths burns about 3 hours, and 5cm about 5 hours you can put them out with water or put them in a sweet tin and suffocate them and relight them next time so last ages no smoke and burn really hot
cut them with and old knife and a hammer

I've got a rotisserie bbq and loading it with regular charcoal can be a pita , these might be ideal.
