You could go cheaper and buy the Extricator MLT 10' cork handle rods. Very nice rods for the money.

I know but I don't know what is the best custom builder, I don't want to spend 700 for 2 10 ft rods

I go for the Free spirit E class gold 10ft Gold, Price around £140/piece (wait time 12/16 weeks...)


For meanwhile I'm going to buy a Dam MAD Greyline Classic 10ft or the Wychwood Extricator MLT 10ft Cork, MLT is £ 44.99 at Total fishing Tackle atm

Give Gary Peet a call at the Tackle Box and he will talk you through all the options. It won't cost you anything like £700, I think they charge £20 a rod build and adjust the cost of the fittings on the rod to what you want, you can go into the rod building section of their website and work it out, I'm going to speak to them today but with my options three rods come to about £410.

Its a smooth matte black finish mate with a tiny section of 1k weave right by the handle

Are the cotswold thin like the extricators plus? Or are they a little bit thicker?

So I decided to customize 2 pace compact with the new tiforged air guides, he should have them available in a month or so,but I'm not sure about handles (which is the most durable duplon, shrink or cork?) and reel seats (undecided between alps centralock and fuji carbon dps), what do you guys say?

Cork, always cork.

For me, the extra cost for alps is not worth it
