You are allowed to ride a bike on towpaths. It's public footpaths that it aint allowed on mate.

Hippy i was fishing the other night I think at least 30 bikes went passed and that is always the same you get used to it after a while you don't notice them comes in handy when not catching they stop for a chat canal anglers use a bike to feed spots and find the fish
