You are kind of contradicting yourself there though, you say why spend more on something that goes beep, then say buy them from the tb because they put their name on them, even though they can be had for less than half the price on ebay because of some warranty which you aren't ever likely to use. If they are reliable enough for the tb to warranty them, then they must last anyway...

The lifetime warranty is down to the fact the TB buy them in for pennies and can easily afford the replacements.

But if they are forever having to change them won't they get a reputation for selling shoddy own brand goods?
I've got no idea about these alarms but the Tacklebox's turnover is massive and is built on a reputation of great customer service rather than cheap prices. Would they want to jeopardise that by selling poor quality gear that they've put their name to?

Yeah, but they won't be selling junk nomatter what the cost. Their reputation is more important.
