When that was the case people were getting a good deal. Cr*p for Aqua, good for the buyer. Same goes for the rebadged F&L.
Now they are charging proper money for their ‘own' designs that clearly have quality issues.
If they were a 1/3 of the price of Trakker/Aqua it might make sense, but at the prices they are asking I think it would be safer to go for the real thing.

Yes, and that is sometimes 'coloring' the image of quality. But when quality (versus price) was great in the past, doesn't mean it will stay that way.

My experiences with Cyprinus have been a little different. I have a mo3 fast and light which I won on the auction for a 100 . The build quality is really good and the material is really think. This came with storms sticks and pegs. The storm sticks are a little lightweight but do the job. It has been waterproof every time I have used it. I like it as it is an ideal size for overnighters.
I also purchase a typhoon storm again on an auction for £168. I didn't really need it but had had a couple of beers and I was surprised when I won it for such a low price. The build quality on this is not as good as the brolly but is still ok. There is no zip off front but you can tie it back if required. The nylon is a thick type and it hasn't leaked and I had it out in a proper downpour. I get the front sagging a little bit to be honest the same would happen with my old tempest brolly.
It's seems the quality can be pot luck and I wouldn't pay full price for any of their kit. Have a go on the auctions or make them or make them an offer.
