I have a set of RH 9000 digi scales. Had them for a good while. Easy to use. The batteries in mine have been in place since last summer - still working. The tare function works for me, no issues.

I like for ease compared to my analogue ones. They are also extremely accurate I have had them tested twice (perk of my job) and they weighed within a 2 gram on a 10kg weight.
However did have the battery corrode to the terminal after a few months of use, bought a replacement terminal re-soldered and been fine since
