You can just get new elastics. Or take the broken ones out and use without any.

I think that every piece, regardless of its size, is extremely important. Especially when it comes to our health, we need to check every detail. As in your case, I once avoided adding a rubber band to my sleeping tent, and at night when a storm started, it collapsed. Since then, I have always checked that my single wall tent is installed the way it is indicated in the instruction. I suggest you get the missing parts or the broken ones to be 100% safe.
