There is definitely something not right with how the body is manufactured if the foot snaps in half!
I cant see at what angle you could hit the reel in a seat in a holdall so that the foot of the reel would snap and the rest of the reel, the reel seat and the rod would be unmarked.
The rods are Aviators with Fuji seats and these were Affinity 2 Ltd

Can't say that I search for reels with broken feet on eBay often, so I wouldn't know.

I don't search for them either ,but lots come up when looking for something generic like "big pit reel" or suchlike. Reels don't just break, they get broken
