Boil some chicken breast then with a few minutes left to cook throw in a packet of Morrison's mushroom flavoured rice.
Quick, easy and tastily pretty healthy.

4 ounces of lean steak mince, jar of spaghetti sauce and lump of boursin. Dry fry the mince til brown. Add sauce and simmer for 10 minutes, then add the boursin til melted. Eat with crusty bread. Dead easy, tasty and decent grub.

Bacon sarnies are an absolute must for me, pretty much every single morning during the warmer months!
I find porridge is the winner in the winter, properly warms me up, even them higher sugar containing just pour water ready pots do a job.
I usually take plenty of fruit, but also a bit of crap food too, Pot Noodles, although more recently been taking Naked Noodles instead which are supposedly a little better than Pot Noodles, also take crisps, chocolate etc....
If I'm doing a 4 day or longer session I tend to always get a takeaway one day of the session.
Evening food I sometimes have a tinned curry or chilli with me, usually two or three packs of ready rice, beans, and when I'm not feeling lazy I also take prepped food, marinated & plain chicken, fajita kits, sometimes a stir fry as others have said, but ultimately it just depends how I am feeling. I certainly don't think there is anything holding you back from making most of the meals you'd have at home with a little forward planning.

The irony
Brie, bacon and cranberry baguettes for me and good cheese... followed by some heartburn.

Both ALDI and LIDL do a decent tinned curry and pre-cooked rice (the ones in a puch)
Cook the rice in your frying pan with a few splashes of water - it only needs warming through - not cooking. mix in the curry from the tin and heat through. Voila. A tasty curry, for a coule of quid - the added bonus it doesnt need to be kept chilled so perfect for longer trips, or keeping in the bag for an emergency.
For overnighters i dont both with hot food - other than one of those porridge pots for the morning.
For a nice breakfast - fry bacon on your ridge monkey - put bacon inside a muffin with a bit of cheddar cheese - back in the ridge monkey to toast in the bacon fat till crispy and the cheese has melted. Lovely Jubbly.

When I was out in Africa with the army, we often got boiled chicken, cheap as chips and got a massive plate full and it was very tasty and full of flavour despite seeming a bit unusual to how we normally have chicken. When you saw its bland look it was as apealling as a fat lasses white looking thighs that's never seen the sun for years.
