All gas stoves need cleaning, they have always got a filter on to stop bits going through.
I used to clean my old one every winter if I didn't the flame got weaker and weaker.
At first I thought it was the cold affecting the gas.
I spray mine with penetrating fluid, WD40 etc then blow through it and give it a scrub.

Glad this post came up, my bulin has been playing up gradually losing power over the last few months with me needing to tip the gas canister over far earlier than it used to.
So spurned on by comments on here I have just taken it to bits and found a sooted up filter right under the tiny hole the gas comes out from. Have scratched all the soot off and put it back together it works so much better....well worth the 15 minutes it took to do it.

Just sold my Primus gravity and bought a new T4 two weeks ago after following recommendations on here. Nobody mentioned having problems with them or performance dropping off after a while at all. Last week they were the best thing since sliced bread and this week they can be iffy sometimes.
Luckily I'm handy with a screwdriver so armed with this info I can head it off at the pass or keep the Swiss Army knife handy on the bank. Cheers to the OP and others for the heads up.
Still I suppose at £22 posted they aren't that far off being a disposable item for non screwdriver inclined people.

I've had mine fir nearly 5 years and it's working as well as the day I bought it so I wouldn't worry too much.

To be fair, mine only started to play up some time after I accidentally poured water all over it, well that certainly didn't help

I don't have the same stove but every 6 months or so mine drops power and takes an age to boil water.
When taking mine apart I give all the parts a good blast of wd40, seems to do the trick every time.

Every 6 months or so buy a litre of cheap Coke, the full fat version. Chuck it in a bowl and bung the stove in for 24 hrs, will come out like new as far as the metal parts go.

Be careful using WD 40, it can destroy silicone or rubber seals. I've seen it happen in front of my own eyes when I was doing some maintance work which involved seals and they just expanded and deformed the moment WD 40 got on them.
I've ruined silicone seals on alarms and also rubber seals on my bikes with WD40. These days I will only use WD 40 on metal only and GT85 on combinations of metal and silicone or rubber seals

2/3 years old and no issues from me . At least I know what to do if I do get any problems
