I've only changed the batteries once in six months. I'm doing short sessions and overnighters so not really heavy use.

My local one did the same recently advertised as closing down but was a store refurb.
I was disappointed to find the 30% off was in fact 30% off the RRP prices, and not their normal prices, so things didn't work out that much cheaper

I think mine is a refurb too. The bloke on the till was just being trained up - it'd be a bit tight to do that then close the store...
They have baitrunner St 6000s for about £45 quid so maybe you're right about it being the retail price. Still a decent price though
