Argentina deserved winners for me, France we're out of it for 80 minutes until the stupid penalty and then Mbeppe's wonder goal. Argentina superb throughout, just love how comfortable they are on the ball in and around the opponents box. I fancied the keeper in the shoot out, he had his fingers on both of Mbeppes first efforts, superb performance. Don't know why he took DiMaria off though?
As for Messi, just proved that he is world class, superb all round
Mbeppe will be back, quality player and finisher

A mischievous part of me wanted the Argies to lose. Not because I'm a fan of the French, far from it, just not a fan of fairy tale endings, unless it's non league teams beating the bigger boys

Yeah mbappe will definitely be there again - probably the player to take on the best in the world tag for the next few years. There's little to not like about him and the way he plays.

I saw a team today who were willing to give every last drop for their captain. They looked like they wanted it more for him than for themselves.
And don't England always win the fair play awards? Better at disguising our late tackles maybe? Sympathy prize because of the amount of TV money from the UK networks?
