all because he used an alleged fake $20 bill. Why did it take 8 minutes to handcuff him and restrain him? The full video is available for all to see. The police officer has been charged with murder. The sympathise view on it is that it was a sad result in the use of excessive force...but that justifies the use of excessive force, acknowledges it was uncalled for and not okay to be doing what he did, kneeling on his neck for 8 minutes. It is murder because as soon as he said he can't breathe, it means if its true he would die, and knowingly continuing to prevent him from breathing means it is intentional. In this country if you claim you have a medical issue during an arrest you are taken to hospital to be checked over because it is within the job role of all emergency services to preserve life first and foremost.

If you think it's okay what happened to that man then you are part of the problem to put it bluntly. I suggest watching the full video before making any conclusions.

What pregnant woman? Potentially???

He might "Potentially" have cured cancer too - but he died under a cops knee instead.

The only "facts" so far are he was sat in a car SUSPECTED of passing a SUSPECTED counterfeit bill.

Maybe you too have fallen to fakebook targeted emotional blackmail - share first - fact-check never.

Problem is people while being arrested often make unjustified claims tragically, on this occasion this wasn't the case.
I do agree though too much force was used which is kinda obvious as the poor man died.

Where can i see the full video?

Edit add...

A doc's perspective...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egRf84EqaJI

And this eerily plausible insight from the comments below it.

"It's also been reported Floyd complained he couldn't breathe before he even went down. The knee didn't help obviously. But now we gotta wonder, with the autopsy, was Floyd having a heart attack before he even went down? Prosecutors are second guessing if they can make the charges stick because of that possibility. Chauvin gets exonerated ..... need I say more?"

I agree, they do make these claims, but as I said, in this country medical treatment comes first due to the oath taken to preserve life by all emergency services, in this country that man legally would have had to have had restraint loosened and an ambulance called. I believe that to be the same in America. When he complained repeatedly, they should have called let him up and called an ambulance, he clearly wasn't resisting arrest or a danger, if they knew they were being filmed do you think they would have ignored his pleas?

Oddly enough, it is now coming to light from a restaurant owner that Floyd and Chauvin worked together for over ten years in a security job at the restaurant. Is it deeper than it first appears, was it a grudge?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8368305/George-Floyd-cop-knelt-neck-worked-security-Minneapolis-club.html

Reading around it seems the cop worked outside and Floyd inside.

Bit of a difference to worked together for 10 years

2 mins Google why do people post this SH1T????

Very disturbing.
It's natural I would do it myself but the bystanders didn't help, the more they heckle and say get off the more the police don't want to move as they think by keeping the status quo they have the situation under control.
That's not making excuses for the police as their training should've told them different but in those moments it didn't happen.
I can't see how being black had anything to do with it though.
A tragedy that the USA don't need sat the moment
Very sad that a fake bank note incident can cause this.

It really is disturbing and tragic.

When you say that you can't see how being black has anything to do with it, I think that's probably because firstly, you yourself would never target a black man (or at least my knowledge of you on here absolutely suggests that) and secondly, like many / most / maybe all of us on here (who knows?) you aren't black. I know I'm not the only one who feels incredibly strongly about this issue, but I'm the first to admit that I can't even begin to understand the generations old anger that black Americans must feel on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, being a black man has everything to do with it in a society where racial oppression is the norm for so many.

Peace and love man.

Just goes to show, you've read that from a MSM in the UK that hasn't reported on any of the police brutality that's occurring or the evidence of police causing damage to their own vehicles and to shops to then blame on protestors.
I heard the 17yrs working together, as in in the same building at the same time, from an American source, an official in the city of Minneapolis who had spoken to the owner of said restaurant. Her voice clip is on the internet to be found.

You've 2 minute googled and decided the daily mails second hand information is categorically correct without delving in to actual American news sources.

Unless you've been oppressed and racially subdued you'll never know what it's like. Even witnessing it will wake you up if you don't get it, especially from over here away from their situation. The British institutionalised racism is very deep rooted still however it seems like it's overly suppressed to low key incite the hatred, it's also deflected on to immigrants. The 80s wasn't that long ago when being black was almost a taboo thing. I wasn't even alive then and I know what it was like back then as it's so well documented.

A speaker in America did an effective test. She asked a room of white people to stand up if they'd be happy to be treated like black people are. No one stood up. The conclusion? They know there is an issue but the chose to ignore it.

No - you've assumed that was the only thing I read and used it to discredit the source rather than the information. A common tactic these days.
I read dozens, all saying the same thing.
I even posted "reading around"

Find me one report, anywhere that says anything other than the below.
Better still post your audio clip - contradicting every quote from Maya Santamaria.

Chauvin 17 years, Floyd about a year overlap.

I was deep in a hole on twitter at 1am keeping up to speed with the anonymous leaks. Don't make me travel through thousands of tweets to find it.

If it's wrong then it's wrong. I'm just saying what I heard from a Minneapolis official (btw she's black) stating it. A quick google

It only fuelled a theory that it there may have been history between the two. This is a conspiracy thread after all.
Fact remains a man was unlawfully killed by a police officer. Not sure why the focal point of it is that they worked together for a year or 17?

As you say being white I've never experienced it so I had a discussion about this with my 28 year old white daughter and she said some things that you refer to and I've tried to take them on board but as I'm mostly law abiding I understand that anyone and that means anyone that breaks the law has to accept there will be consequences.
If I got caught doing something wrong I would hold my hands up and go quietly.

Important note. That's not to say that the consequences this man suffered were in anyway justified.

I guess it depends on the interactions you have with police. I had a number of black friends from a rough area when I was teenager. Part and parcel of their life was being stopped and searched and treated guilty until proven innocent, even when crimes were not being committed and they weren't criminals themselves. They just lived in that area. I've had plenty of negative interactions with the police and I'm not evidently of foreign heritage until you know my name.

I think all criminals know the risks of committing a crime, but let's put it in to perspective. If you were caught speeding and pulled over, would you expect to be treated to a physical encounter with the police, car searched, checked over for faults, questioned about all manner of things OR would you expect to be issued a fine and let on your way? If you verbally refused to enter the police car would you expect to be thrown on the ground and handcuffed? OR would you expect to be dealt with by the roadside (remember it isn't compulsory to even leave your own car, let alone enter a police vehicle unless you have been arrested).

Police brutality and power hungry actions aren't limited to race, it's anyone they want to inflict it on for whatever reason. I've been involved in incidents myself where power hungry police c*nts have reared their fat heads.
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.

Yes, continue
