I'd like the option of a ''None of the above' on a voting paper.
Meanwhile why not spoil you paper in protest by writing 'they are all a bunch of ****s'.
Get a postal vote so you don't have to waste time visiting a polling station.

There's roughly 7 million TU members in the UK, mostly working people.There is roughly 160k Tory party members, mostly retirees. The 160k will be dictating who takes us forward as a country Noj, they're the facts.

That's probably because they rarely strike in Health care
And when they do they organise rotas for care giving.
The fact that transport people that do strike do better than nurses that won't or can't shows unions do work.
The fact that Govts take the piss out of Nurses because they know that they are ethically opposed to striking is gutless and not be applauded.

Who says that large swathes of those 7 million aren't successful?
Just have a different view on how society improves for the majority.
Collective bargaining doesn't mean you can't negotiate your own T&C's as you get a vote on accepting or rejecting the offer.

If we never had unions? And if they were successfully outlawed?
How.long before a brave entrepreneur 'success'
person drove our life and conditions back to pre ww2?
Nothing we have was ever given freely it all had to fought for. BuI guess that generation has died out and its not much in memory.
I find the strikes inconvenient. I also think a bloke with 4 GCSE
Getting 50k + a year to drive trains is a discrepancy when a degree educated Nurse has had to pay their own Bursary and is starting on 24k. However with no Unions history has shown us
The train driver would earn dick.all.and the Nurse even less.

Non Labour voters who are union members...
That's me.
I recognise the value of unions and also have questioned strikes when the effect might damage student progress at critical times
This thread is a bit of a microcosm of the way tory government operates - set the people against each other and let them argue while ministers and their cronies carry on screwing over the populous.

Train drivers don't start of 50k a year. Their is a decent amount of training before they qualify, in my my day it was CSEs and O levels. Half the degrees these days are not worth the paper they are written on.
Nurses can end up on a reasonable salary and lots of opportunity to specialize.
Got to remember nurses get a nice civil service pension at the end of it all - so you really need to look at the long game whatever you decide to do

Can't agree on the nurses pay regardless of the pension.
When they arrive at work and have to pay exorbitant rates to park so they can go and save lives for less than the shoddy mp's who voted against their pay rise then there's something very wrong.
The best paid people in the NHS are the ones making poor managerial decisions I'm afraid.

Mate these Tory MPs on TV that are still running the race are pitching to a profiled tiny group that will ultimately decide who gets the job. Not 65 million people,160k. That's not to be forgotten in the policies they're promising we will all have live under. You see the positive in it I think it's ridiculous 👍.
Sunak and the Lib Dem remainer Truss have had the latest TV debate cancelled. They don't want to look bad and there's no miles in a pitch to the nation, just the members

Sorry I've a friend who works in the police force and has to pay the daily rate for public parking. It's the same for 100s who work there and I'm told it happens at many other stations
They are told if the don't like it use public transport which costs even more.
At some point we will all have a black box fitted in our cars and be paying per mile.
