Yeah, 12.5 kilo for the Armo in my case is everything including the pegs for the wrap. Did weigh the bivvy on its own but can't remember weight but didn't seem to bad.
Is the X worth the extra weight ?

I think the X is heavier because of the poles. They are a wider diameter and possibly thicker walled. I would imagine that would add some weight including the block.

Frontier X gives more usable space than an armo as you can get your bed right back as its a flat back. There is More headroom too. Its a nicer bivvy to use imo.
But armos are just as quick to put up and take down. By the time youve put the poles together on the frontier fanned it out added storm poles the armo would be as near as dam it up.
If the armos in good nick id stick with it, overwraps add extra room and a handy storage area.

Think am just gonna carry on with my Armo and wrap for winter. Also use my Supa Brolly for summer, which still doesn't leak 😀.

I have one question which considers all Fox Frontier range. What do you think about the moulded keyed elbow joints on the poles? Is this a good fiture? Any issues? Personally I am a bit of a skeptic to be honest, plastic on pole, will they last or will they brake...

The plastic joints are a far better idea than Trakkers tempest.

Seems like plastic, but is there a metal inner within the joint? Got a Frontier X+ recently, only used it once so wouldn't profess to know it in and out yet, but seems pretty perfect (tho is big and bulky to store and transport).

Well I finally caved in and ordered the Frontier X today

Does anyone know if it is worth the upgrade from the original nash hide for the standard frontier ?
The footprint of the hide is ok its just the getting in and out thats getting annoying.

Yeh. I do it to my pioneer and my tempest.
It can sit higher of lower by pulling the poles at the tension strap area
In our out and pegging them.

Put the new bivvy up in garden and really impressed with it.
Quite heavy but it is what it is
One thing though,
Has anyone got any tips on best way to separate the poles (keep relocating) and fold it back up

Has anyone used a frontier in really hot weather?
Does the fact that the material blocks out the sun keep things cooler inside, or is it just like a dark oven?

It doesnt make it cooler Jon but does offer decent shade, Only the vents being open offer any real cooling.
