Unless they are going to bring in teleport bracelets I can't see it happening with the amount of gear we take.
With continued pressure to build more houses you do wonder how many years lakes have got left..

You were probably doing your Ghandi impression somewhere in Lewisham so missed it.
The model for large cities is electric driverless vehicles. Either owned or not, with large underground charging stations so when the vehicle isn't in use it toddles off there. When charged off it pops earning money til you need it or book it.
As an aside a project I'm involved in with Boeing will use electric flying gondolas of varying seating capacity in a book and drop off principle. Leave it too the experts 🧐

I don't see inventing new means of transport being a problem, creating prototypes is one thing, creating the infrastructure to implement them is another thing in my opinion.
Glad to be proved wrong, it just amuses me when others are so certain of the future.
I still think the ban on ICE's won't happen in 2030, that's a guess of course. But I can see who's ever in charge at the time cancelling it and blaming it on the previous administration's lack of investment in infrastructure.

The jet suit certainly sounds fun and no doubt could be crucial in remote rescue work but how do you see it helping to reduce the reliance on vehicles, thereby reducing pollution and the effect on the climate.

I'm busy investing in the mal Republic of New Garden which will hopefully provide us with lovely spuds, tomatoes, carrots and plenty of juicy worms ready to go in my bait tub
