Football is a poor comparison ... the product of "football" is far improved since the explosion of financial investment and TV coverage. Carp angling has done the opposite unfortunately,

Enough money for a comfortable living at the very top tier of these companies maybe, but come a run or two down the heirachy ladder and the money earnt probably drops off dramatically.
£25k is peanuts prize money for winning an elite competition and in terms of hours committed, a pretty poor retun. I think its too easy to blame money, but in reality there isnt a great deal on offer anyway.
The biggest problems in angling has always been ego and jealousy and that will never change .... and more recently social media, All of which have a connection to each other,

The only way I can see that if this is being put into a water by unscrupulous anglers is a dye in the water that then highlights it and action could then be taken, obviously the reaction with the dye and the reaction thereafter would be dependent on how much gear is going in. Bearing in mind that this is just my own mental gymnastics at play here, places are already dyed and how such a thing could be implemented alongside waters that currently dye their waters is anyone's guess.
Until this tread went up, I had no idea about any of this. What's mentioned in that link is a great worry, I mean, ****s leaving packaging in the bushes, the hell's wrong with people? So you're packing up and doing the right thing grabbing litter in your swim that was there before you started fishing that could potentially adversely affect your own health, c..ts springs to mind, top speed c..ts!

Having now read the statements, and trawled all the way back through this utter s**t show of a thread it's shown me what I suspected and what we have all known for a long time there are a lot of jealous little children in carp angling. There are also a lot of ‘council estate scientists' ‘mad experts in aquatic ecology' and all round idiots who simply can't accept there are people out there better than them.
The other funny thing is people posting slander on social media platforms and forums thinking they aren't accountable for it, Kev mentions defamation of character posts a statement and people on here laugh it off, I actually hope he goes through with it then there will be a lot of idiots getting legal notices and suddenly cacking themselves
