Although the original has been discontinued there's still some places that have them.
One thing I can't get my head around is the stated dimensions are
Width 215cm Depth 300cm Height 145cm
Surely it can't be that deep that's 10ft in old money, it doesn't look that deep on the promotional videos, width looks longer than the depth
Can anyone confirm this please?

Think they have got the width and depth dimensions the wrong way around, as all the Bivvy positions built on the back of our Dam wall are standard 3m x 3m size, as I used 3m Rails in the construction.
My JRC Bloxx original is an exact fit inside the frame.

its def wider than deeper which after using for some time is not as useful as the depth I am finding
Has held up great though, once got the peak sorted has been a great bivvy
Still want a tempest though

I'm thinking of buying one of these without the wrap for summer fishing.
Not many places have them left, cheapest I've found is £165-10% from TFT, anyone know of anywhere cheaper?
I've heard they'll be bringing out a new version, would it be worth waiting for or buy what's already been tried and tested warts and all?

A MK2 is going to be considerably more than the price you have seen , was there much wrong with the first one apart from the peak straps ?
Easy fix from what I have seen .

Mentioned it in another thread. I cut the front poles down about 3-4cm where they fit into the block.
Sounds hard work but fairly easy and cures the prob of tension straps working loose.
Still the best bivvy I have owned.

I love my bloxx can't fault it used it with the wrap all of last winter in 50/60mph winds and didn't move an inch. Buy with confidence

Bivvy came and I've had my first go of setting it up in the garden on a perfectly flat lawn, having read the previous posts on how to assemble it wasn't that hard, thanks chaps.
There's 3 pegging points either side of the door and two pegging points under each window.
With the strap that runs on the ground from left to right and the groundsheet in place (which is a good fit) I'm finding the lower of the 3 pegging points is a tad too short, nothing drastic probably only noticed it because I read about it on here but I suppose a carabiner as suggested by Keith wouldn't go a miss if the ground was uneven.
Like most people I found I had to pay attention to the Velcro straps at the peak. Stating the obvious Velcro has a soft side and a rough side that stick together. All the velcro's are about 5" or 6” long.
Without over stretching I found I could get about 2” of contact between the rough and smooth sides, that's probably why Willyworm shortened his poles to get more contact on the Velcro?
Anyway, I have some double sided Velcro (rough on one side, smooth on the other) and I found that sandwiching a length of approx. 8” of this between the original bivvy straps I can effectively extend and get the equivalent of full contact between the Velcro strips. Obviously this has not been fully tested but looks very promising
If anyone wants to try this pm me your address and I'll post a couple of strips to you.

The strap on my Bloxx is about 12" short in my opinion with a ring on the end so no way of connecting it to anything. Even it if were the right length I wouldn't bother using it. I just peg mine out with the front on. I personally have no issues with the front not reaching the ground - mine sits perfectly. Try it without that strap and see how it goes together.
