It beats me why some people on here dont get this, it's misrepresentation and is against the law, on a large enough scale it's fraud. Shafting people seems to be ok to some on this thread as long as it's in the name of Carp fishing

All I can tell you is the shop is getting as frustrated as you are,they have been promised dates that keep on changing which is obviously not the shops or the manufacturers fault.The ports are chaos and its going to get worse.I was in the shop Saturday picking up my new reels and it was crazy,I can't say anything else other than give Tom a call he will do everything he can to help you out

It's only against the law if they have no intention of getting the item for you. In any shops t's&c's will be some sort of statement like "we cannot guarantee items are held in stock" or suchlike

Have bank sticks on order from Vale Royal since 27th November on their Black Friday Discount, but haven't heard nothing since.
Can't use phone at work so emailed them twice but no response. Time to get onto my credit card company to sort it out

Just cancelled my order and got a refund with vale royale angling for a fox black label item they ain't getting stock of till February 2021
I think it's fair to say that it wasn't very smart to do a Black Friday sale this year.
Could also be said it wasn't very smart to expect there to be no problems buying in the Black Friday sales this year..

You'd of saved a bundle if you'd bought her a pair of Fila's and took her down the park to chase a ball.

I understand they may have had stock issues but the communication of it has been very poorly handled. Everything I have ordered for example is still listed as in stock on Vale's website, it all just appears a bit disingenuous. I have not received either of my orders and not heard back from the shop when I tried to contact them, both orders are still listed as unfulfilled on the website.

Unfortunately customer service in the Tackle industry is generally crap, it's still stuck back in the 80's where you had hairy arsed blokes stood round drinking tea and smoking roll-ups who would look at you and talk to you like a piece of sh!te.....
There are exceptions obviously but generally it is very poor.
Regarding Vale I have no doubt that they will eventually fulfil our orders, (I purchased the Titan Hide XL Camo knowing full well it was a pre-order and is stuck in a container somewhere in Essex) and if you don't want to wait they have a good track record of re-funding. I don't think for a single second that they would be dishonest, I just don't think they are very organised.
There are two fundamental issues that Vale quickly need to address;
1, Their web-site is obviously not linked to their "live" stock like others where if it is not in stock it is not shown as available, (in the vast majority of cases anyway).
2, They need to email or phone everyone whose orders have not been fulfilled from BF, tell them what the score is and give them the option of a refund. It is then up to the individual if they wait knowing they saved 20% or don't.
