I had a look at it at there store at Jag HQ didnt know they had a tackle shop there now - it splays out wider and extends longer I have some pics but no idea how to load them on here - circa £500
Dont see no difference for me so ill stick with my RP-1 maybe if you have larger reels or 13 footers
They do though have some proper tarty new distance sticks that I picked up weigh nothing

I have pics - if you have whatsapp I can send them - but they dont look any different to the RP1 - only difference in real life is that its a lot bigger both length and width

its exactly the same except the splay is wider and the length is longer - even the bag is the same as the RP-1 - No reason to change in my opinion unless you have bigger reels that dont fit or 13 footers in my opinion - my qdx are fine as they are -

I think the fixed splay on the rp-1 is what alot of people don't like about it and the adjustable length for people with 12ft 6 + 13ft rods weren't keen on how short it was. the extra adjustment covers everyone and probably should have been like it on the rp-1.

Still don't get why they simply cannot supply adjustable and/or differing fixed length 'arms' to help determine splay / widths front and back - not as extreme as a Defiant Fantail but something closer to . . .

I was really taken with the RP1 but massively disappointed when I picked one up off eBay a few months ago.
Love every aspect of it, apart from the splay, which with my 13 footers looked even worse! Don't get me wrong I like a slight splay but it was ridiculous!
Doesn't sound like the RP2 will be an improvement either, if anything worse!
Seems like they are sticking with the RP1 and the Nano/Micro going forward with the compact being discontinued.

Ive had the super compact - then had the nano/micro but the bars would twist so that went and now the RP 1 which im sticking with - the pros for me on the rp 1 is that it folds compact but the bag is rubbish = the RP2 will appeal to those with 23 footers or big reels
Think stage stands are the best soloution tbh

Get the bespoke angling supplies rp1 bag Rob, its miles better than the jag one. Loads more padding much better zips and a pocket on the front for indicators and receiver. Its taller to so fits alarms with snag ears in no problem. Im selling mine on ebay at the minute if you want it let me know and i will take it off. Mine is the dpm version. Ive got some photos on my phone if you want me to send you them mate.

Ive took it off Tony as Rob's bought it. Cant remember. Around 75-80 i think. Its in a totally different league the jag bag. Ive got a few of his bits and they a superb.
