Has anyone else had bad experience with their Wychwood Tactical Brolly? I need a new one and had narrowed it down to ESP lo pro (discontinued); this one; or the Sonik AXS brolly.

The wychwood hd 50 or 60 mk1 was imho apart from the original Aqua was the best brolly ever made why change they had very good material on them if they just put in vents and space saver frame the jrc brolly looks good so does the sonik the new wychwood looks good hope the leaking is a one off

and have only managed one 48 hour session in it and on the second night a big storm all night it rained and for 2 of those hours it was proper torrential ! perfect no drips rock solid love it
however Secret Agent had a faulty one that was replaced with a 2nd faulty one could be a fluke ?
as mine is superb sadly it wont get used for a long while due to the dreaded big C

They've delayed the release of it - I've been in touch with ESP. They've got no confirmed date but are hoping for later in 2021.

Yeah its those one or two bad experiences that really make you think. I've got quite a bit of Wychwood gear and really rate their stuff but I'm hesitant about this brolly based on Secret Agent's experience...

I had used mine twice pre lockdown and on both occasions it rained heavy, one overnight session for 12 hours straight and another overnight session for a couple of hours, never had an issue with any leaks.

Does this brolly look a lot smaller than the v2 and is it noticeable being a 55 that it's easy to put up and fit in swims than a 60 brolly I have a v2 thinking of getting wychwood for days summer quick overnights no front or ground sheet

To add to the pm I sent you, if it's just something to sleep under you want then the wychwood is perfect, it's very cosy.
The Sonik is far bigger.

Thank you for photos I see it has a lot of cover with bed at back is it a standard size bed or compact I have a v2 and was looking at sonik shelter but thought didn't want to buy something that looks like what I have already got so was looking at wychwood I was buying it to fish rivers day or night and carp fishing the same I thought it might be a bit big to use v2 for rivers for day and day carp fishing haven't heard anymore about leaking where would be the cheapest place to get one thanks
