They will fit but you need to position each handle so it sits under the reel next to it as the pod is not wide enough for the reels to sit side by side. Thats with castizms as well so not a big pit.

I have gone back to my Super Compact. Set up time us negligible between the two, probably less than a minute!

Dont get ne wrong the RP1 is a thing of beauty and although there was no problem fitting my rods on with Shimano Power Aeros the Splay on the RP1 was too wide for me.

Been debating whether to get the RP1 for a while now. What's it like on uneven ground? Any issues with the central bar not clearing the ground if there are lumps and bumps?

If the ground slops from left to right or visa versa is it difficult to get the uprights actually being vertical and not off on an angle?

You can adjust to accommodate it mate... i had a peg last week where there was a bump in between where my alarm end was and the but section was - just pushed the bank stick in at front then lifted the main section and brought it down to sit on top of the bump, then adjusted the back stick.

It worked fine and was perfectly level when i had finished but didnt have a huge amount of adjustment left in the sticks afterwards and it was a massive bump

I love the idea of the RP1 but decided to keep my Super Compact, the main, (in fact only) reason being the splay on the RP1 which is far too wide. I like a slight splay but it was too much for me.

The workmanship on my RP1 is amazing, However I've sold it & given up waiting for the RP2.

I found if the arms weren't exactly splayed symmetrical the rods looked uneven.
I also didn't like the three rod set up as my reel handles picked up the other rods line when I struck ( I only use small Shimano 6000 reels)
OK I know that's not going to affect the fishing but after shelling out over £500 with bits & bobs on the pod it was frustrating.

I've gone for the Solar A1 pod £96 delivered.

Sorry Jag, your products are amazing workmanship but RP1 not for me.

I struggled to consistently got the rods splay and tios level too...spent more time pissing round with it that it totally negated the speed of the set up...I just use my nano/micro pod now which I keep going back to

I know people think it's pointless. But this doesn't happen when you fold your reel handles.

Does it not open to a set position? I've been looking at getting a RP1 and looking at the videos assumed it 'clicked' into place when opened out but I assume not...

no, the legs pull open and there's is machined markers at the base of the legs on the frame...of tou use just 2 rods you need open them alot more

JAG are now saying the RP2 is imminent!
