Any feedback on this jacket please thinking it might be to hot like the sj 9 or is it not to hot it would be used for autumn winter fishing

I use the torrent and really like it. Don't think it's a red hot jacket. But certainly keeps you warm. I wear a thermal top, thin buffalo softie jacket and my coat and never been cold.

Gone to thermal salopettes this year to keep the legs warmer, so should be good to go.

I love mine,use it for everyday wear.Its warm enough with just a t-shirt on underneath when walking about and I've never felt cold in it

It's basically a waterproof SJ6. The Torrent Extreme is the equivalent of the SJ9 (slightly warmer in fact).

What's the sizing like Tony? I'd have to order online so no chance of trying on prior to buying.
Are they more accurate than the Fortis stuff, cus their stuff is all over the place.

All Snugpak stuff is a bit all over the place with sizing, including the Fortis jobbies. Luck of the draw mate. I had to return 2 SJ9's to get one that fitted really well. With the Torrent I was lucky first time.

Totally agree I tried to get a sj6 gave up last year tried 4 all completely different ridiculous sizing

I have the original one, it's a superb jacket. The armpit vents work a treat at regulating temps so you don't sweat. I very rarely feel the need for anything other than a t-**** under it. It very much isn't waterproof though. If I lost mine I'd not question buying the new waterproof one.

I ordered the torrent it's come anyone know what does torrent wgte mean is this different than a standard torrent
Well first impression is it doesn't seem that warm compared to a sj6 I tried on while back it doesn't seem there's a lot of padding got the impression it's more of a spring autumn jacket can't see it be any good for winter or is it me happy to be wrong

Mine isn't that padded,i think it's the outer material that helps keep the wind and rain out.I know the fortis coats feel alot more padded but my Torrent is extremely warm,I would be shocked if yours isn't
