On the look out for the most compact easy to put up day shelter.
One that gives me the ability to set up in tight areas


Currently looking at the drennan specialist what comes in 44 or 50'.

Any recommendations

Look at korum.

It does look good but It's surprisingly wide at 2.1m and 1kg heavier .

Maybe the korum river jobbie.

Very light.

Used mine a lot for days.

I can highly recommend the Fox specialist brolly. I love mine. Even so nights under it

Brilliant bit of kit.
I do nights under it too...

I have the fox specialist and it's good, but I now use the pentalite especially in winter as easier to put up in high winds, can have it high and I did a review in the section on here. I really rate this for days, super lite and can be pegged down and then just raise the storm poles, as they don't need to be pushed in.

I take it You do nights under it sitting on a chair not bed under the fox as I don't know of any bed that would fit or is there?
Me and a mate bought one each he sold his after using it twice and I couldn't get on with it where we fishing we couldn't get the pole in ground properly full of stones the wind came and blow mine away if it had sides that you could peg it like the korum brollys it might be better

The way it's designed it's like a sail only pegged at back I am interested to know what is so good about it as it has rave reviews everywhere
We are obviously missing something

The river brolly does seem very light and compact but on flat ground would it not be pretty useless?

Mines been fine on the flat

Korum graphite brolly. They now call all their stuff "progress" wft?
Light and compact, three rear ribs on the floor and pegging points.
You can add storm caps, you need the wide ones to fit the fibreglass arms, or drill out some old brass ones as I did.

Not big enough for a bedchair but ideal for a chair.

Just thought Because of the low back pegging, it would then make the brolly go to vertical if that makes sense.
The low weight/size would fit in my specialist holdall would make it option .

The new progress shelter may take a compact bed.

It's literally just for a day shelter for me and bucket seat . One that can be set up on uneven and flat ground .
