not that I'm in the market for a set but a mate is, just wondering what's peoples thoughts on them.who have had a wiggle with them or boughtba set

Half price by Christmas 
I had a go with the 13ft rod in a field. If you want out and out distance then for £150 or whatever they will go for then must be hard to beat. 170 was very achievable (12lb line without a rig) and my casting isn't great. Go further with less effort than my Aviators at a third of the price. Can't tell you how they are to actually fish with but they will get a lead out there no problem.

Braided leader, 4.5oz lead. Not how I'd want to fish but works for distance. I've never used the TX2 so can't compare. What surprised me about the Korda rods was the weight, expected them to be a heavy rod but they were fine.

If I was spending my own money on budget rods I'd be spending 60 quid each on the new Sonik heros.
I reckon Sonik have sewn up the cheaper end value rods market and at the same time killed the market for higher end rods.
Fair play to them it's about time someone ripped up the rulebook.

90% of Wychwood rods are sub £100 so Sonik haven't dominated the market.
I could cast my Solace Classics just as far as my Freespirit E Class Gold and there 1/4 of the price.

I think sonik eg xtractors or insurgent have there place cheap enough to leave in boot of car so not to worried if they get nicked or good as a Holliday rod river lake or even sea fishing
But not in the same world as free spirit or Harrison and others
And as for the Korda green there's a reason there cheap

Well someone is buying them. I was in a tackle shop today, and was told they are selling well.
