Anyone ever had tigers blow on a lake?
Fishing a lake where tigers have been used forever and very recently 2 people have told me they've seen fish leave them in the margins but eat other bait around them.

I've never heard of them blowing but there are definitely times when they will favour them over other food items, and also vice versa.

It's entirely possible. Best thing is to try yourself though . The amount of times Iv had people tell me X Y Z doesn't work and Iv caught is ridiculous

the over use/abuse of any un natural food source a fish will eventually avoid to some point

think about that before one replies

As Frenzy has said, any bait will blow.

Some by overuse, some by lack of baiting, either long term prebaiting, or not enough bait around the hook, and occasionally by lack of nutrition.

That's particles, boilies, the works.

Never had a problem with tigers. But then I only use half an handful per rod

I do not buy into the story that baits blow.

Any bait that's being chucked in to much will at some point stop working an becomes a danger rather that a free food source. I been fishing a gin clear public water an after each bite when re dropping the rod by boat was noticing that all
The tigers on the spot had been cleaned up an only bollies were left on the spot.

I think it would do all carp fisherman a load of good to get the old match rods out and go float fishing for the day. Baits can "blow" within an hour or less, one minute you can't keep a grain of sweetcorn in the water, and then suddenly can't buy a bite on it. A switch to maggots and the action instantly starts again. This cycle goes on all day, sometimes changing by the minute. For some reason as carp anglers we think of best baits lasting for weeks or months, when the reality is, its just what works then and there.

M1 and M2 on Suffolk Water Park could be like that. I used to start with sweetcorn in the margins on a centre pin and float, usually picking up a couple of fish, then it would go quiet, put a lump of meat on and bites would start again from exactly the same spot resulting in a few more before they would leave that, so a switch to pellets would bring them back on.

Those ledgering boilies might only get 2 or 3 fish a day, whereas those who switched could end up with 10 or more.

Euro aqua feeds corn by the tonne weekly , so If corn was going to blow surely it would there.

But it has not.

Is it corn, soaked maize, or cooked maize.

That's because the environment is totally artificial. Massively overstocked. Eat or die.
