Has anyone had trouble getting through on the phone with this company?

It's a big shop and maybe round at another section or they could be with a customer when the phone rings

Yes, couple of weeks ago.
Made an order on the saturday, they emailed the following Thursday to say it was out of stock but didn't issue a refund. I left it for a few hours and then tried calling - pretty much a waste of time. Finally got the refund though

I go in regular , and phone , always picked up by the lads but if they are serving or out in the shop they could miss one .

Sorry, given slightly duff information...
Browns is still owned by the same family, the fishing side management has changed. I do some work through the shop and it has definitely suffered since the management changed

Thought your info was duff.... hence me asking! Not found any difference in the staff etc since their revamp, and I'm in there most weeks . Think the angling side was managed by Derren Burr ,but he's now got a tie in with Korum.

Jakes been the boss of the shop for ages. From memory before covid as I worked in the shop when it was closed to the public and he was definitely the boss then. I'm not aware of any further changes.

It's a great shop. The staff are spot on. It's friendly and helpful and you get tea and biscuits. What's not to like. Plus it's big enough to have the space for them to have bivvys etc on display and for those that like that sort of thing, a fairly big clothing section.
