Hi all thinking of buying some new alarms. Sort of swaying towards the fox Rx+ but never owned a fox alarm before so are they worth it etc and who sells them at the best price? Had delkim txi pluses when I was fishing yrs ago then gave up due to injury really liked them but see they stopped selling them now and saw some of the news ones in tackle shop and they didn't look appealing to me Only just set back up again after purchasing a full setup. Cheers for any info

Personal choice for me, Delkim Txi's.
I don't like the Fox motto of 'new model, new year', so you end up buying another set of more modern alarms.

Delkims from 1990 look pretty close to newer models, and they have not flooded the market with 5 different Microns, 2 MX's, 3 Micron M's, NTXr's, MR's etc.

Delkim ST's that lasted 20 years, long life, Delkim TXi's or slightly smaller new TXi's.

No contest.

You wont go wrong with either. Ive got txid's at the minute and they are brilliant alarms and had fox ntxr's before them which were also superb. Both will do everything you could ever want. Delkims customer service is second to none if you ever did get any issues so a bit extra peace of mind but i would happily use either brand.

100% agree. Txi's are bullet proof

I had some Delkim TXI-Ds, one of them had a problem when it rained, then the receiver stopped working.

I then switched to Fox RX+, one of the alarms developed a strange fault where it would just switch off, then the receiver started doing strange things after about a year, it would just flash on and off randomly.

Eventually I ended up with Edwards ECU MK1 R-plus, had them 18 months and they've not missed a beat, really love them.

The only critisism of the ECUs I really have, is they go through batteries a lot faster than the others, but that's the only negative thing.

Theres been a few people had issues with ecu's on here as well and there have been no where near as many ecu's sold as there has been fox or delks. No electronic alarm is going to be 100% reliable went its sat out in the british weather unfortunately, your always going to het some failures.

Spot on and delkims customer service is the best of them all,I just can't switch from my rx+.I have been close a few times but I just can't do it

👍🏻 I still miss the polyphonic beep tone of my ntxr's.

I've been getting an itch to get another set of Neville's recently. The reason I ditched the last ones was the receiver range was temperamental. I've heard the MK3 sorts this out and the receiver is now very good. Can anyone vouch for this?

Shelled out and purchased a set of Rx+ pretty simple to setup be out using them soon now need a nice pod for them to sit on just go a saber terrain xpod used it first time other week took me ages to get it how I wanted it couldn't use it as a pod I like the first eye of the rod behind the alarm so had to split it in 2 also 3 rods sat on it the reels where practically on top of each other even with the bars extended so had to have one rod on a single whereas I wanted them all sat together

I'll keep it short due to other essays

Dells are great until it rains, more of a summer alarm really. I would go with ATTs or fox.
