Anyone used this? £36 quid a kilo is pricey. Would this be better than a krill powder or GLM for dusting up boilies and pellets. Currently on Trent Shrimp.

I like it personally. I've played about with it from 15g to 120g and found my testers did well on a neutral fishmeal with this at 75g in combination with calanus hydro at 1kg per 4kg of egg.

I have recently sent 5 testers 25kg each of a batch on a birdfood base also, thss as t was only a week ago so don't have much tangible evidence, a lad fishing wrasbury had a few but he's a machine and would probably catch on cardboard, will keep you informed if there is a magic trick with it but from my experience it peaks around 75g a kilo and you're throwing money away after that.

If you order from bacare be sure to pick up some tuna extract it is excellent and also they sell a really nice salmon hydrolysate too

I have bottles of the Salmigo and hydro shrimp. Amazing liquids you can tell just by smelling them they are a cut above. I don't make feed bait, only hook baits so was thinking more along the lines of just using it for coating things and in bag mixes and hookbaits etc. So the tuna is also defo worth a getting?

I like it too. Just be careful if your basemix already has high amounts of krill and PDFM in, as like most shrimp products, it's very light and can create buoyancy issues.

Would be better giving a test bait to some proper whoppers, as you said, a good angler will catch on anything, a useless one succeeds and you know you're onto a winning formula.

Its totally dependant on what you mix them with. I've made 25% krill meal baits with 5% shrimp when people have said 10% will float. just account for it with other denser ingredients like oyster shell, MP60, some of the fishmeals around etc.

personally think oyster shell is a good ingredient regardless of floating issues.
love the open texture that it gives, got to be better for breakdown.

I'm well aware of that Nick. But if you already have a bait that is light and sinks quite slowly, then I can tell you that 2% of the shrimp will give you a 5kg batch of pop ups!

they always did two, a very light shell meal and a less light soluble one.

I can guarantee you the bait sinks I've rolled enough of them lol

We're talking about the whole milled shrimp, not the cheap shell waste meal here.
You seem to be missing the point about my original statement. Of course you can get plenty of it in if you're using lots of heavy ingredients, oyster/crab shell, limestone flour, etc etc. My point is that if you have a mix that is quite light (and I'll also include 'active' via enzyme use) then adding this product, even at 2% can create issues.
In terms of the value of the product, the fat level is comparible to full fat GLM, and the AA profile is excellent. And it tastes good too!

Good afternoon.
I've been looking at this also does anyone know the solubility?
Thanks Tom.

I wouldn't think solubility will be much at all compared with hydrolysed alternatives. AA Baits do a shrimp hydro powder which I'm sure is a better idea if solubility is what your after. I use this in combination with standard squid meal and highly rate it. Oh, and it's less than a third of the price of the Bacarel stuff 😁

Thank you.
I only asked because in the first paragraph of description it mentions the taste once dissolved in water.
I have previously ordered from aa baits but at checkout I could order a free gift, I chose csl and it was like a brown swill terrible quality in comparison to the the feed stimulants version I have used previously and it made me question the quality of their other products.

I could be wrong, but they might well have meant to say dispersed in water rather than dissolved.

As for AA Baits' CSL, I have never had any quality issues. It should have a lovely, somewhat boozy aroma and needs a good shake to mix in the sediment after storage. What would you say are the superior qualities of the Feed Stim stuff ?
Are you sure?
