Anyone fished this in the last few years?
I fished it once. Hard as nails. No weed - gravel bottom.
I dont believe anyone caught.

I fish it on and off as my dad only lives 5 minutes away from there.
It's not a difficult lake.
Out of the 7 or 8 day sessions that I did last summer, I always caught, and usually more than one.
I had fish to 31lb 1oz, but I've seen bigger fish caught.
Like everywhere else though, it's ridiculously busy.

Fished it once last summer, was unseasonably cold and it felt quiet, didn't see any fish showing or landed but tbh can't tell much from that as had to cut the session short after only about 5hrs. Keep meaning to go back and give it a proper go. Good tackle shop there too.

Never fished rib but walk around it a fair bit
It gets VERY weedy on the big lake and see loads of fish if you look properly
You see piles of it in the margins
Linear isn't for me
Farlows I have fished once I liked that one

where do you see most of the weed?
where the car park is, you can walk in to the lake and either follow the path straight as it bares round to the right. or take the left route round the lake.

Hi....as a matter of interest have you caught any during the day, I can only fish days currently so realistically wouldn't be cast out until around 7am. Thank you

of course... in my opinion, anything over 25lbs is a decent fish!
if someone said the lake record was 25lbs, I wouldn't bother fishing it... !

Rib Valley? Fished it once last year out of curiosity. The water itself was OK, but as usual, the place is full of idiots. I had one fella come and talk to me as I was setting-up (always annoying), puffing away on his joint and telling me about the 30's he's had... later on I had my lines crossed by someone fishing the other bank, people leaving their rods and sitting
in little huddles with their mates and the noise they made - good grief it was bad... I had a 19 and a 26 that day, but that didn't make much difference, I won't be going back. Sadly, it's quite typical of a lot of day ticket or club waters these days, where they get infested with dope smoking, noisy idiots. It's not cheap either. Nope, nothing special and full of noddies - much better waters in the area to fish than that place.

Now I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that you probably shouldn't expect a Christmas card from them this year after that review :-)
I've fished it a couple of times a good few years ago. It was quiet when I fished it. The place itself seemed ok, not badly kept or anything. But definitely not my sort of venue at all. I think my mate had a scraper 20 out and I blanked I think.
My guess is that was about ten years ago and I haven't been back, which says a lot really.
