I have the Black edition spod 4.5 and the marker 3.5 which you can also use as a short range spod, both excellant rods !
They won the carpology awards few years ago too and im looking at having these as my main rods in 3.25 with some cutom touches too !

I've got a set of 10ft 3lb rods and had them built with longer butt sections and they are all I use now for most of my fishing.

I regularly use a set of the 3.5 12 ft SU, s. For the money these are fantastic rods and more than I will ever need for range and accuracy. They are Tacklebox SAH branded so long term support is guaranteed and the customer service from TB is the best there is. Definitely recomended.

I've got the13ft Spod and it's an excellent rod. I hate spodding but can do 100 yards with moderate effort and crap technique.
One thing I would say is that they are not a light blank. I had the big new Penn Spod reel on it originally which is a tank of a reel. Hated that combo. Tried one of my Affinity 7000 and the whole set up is much easier to use (for me).

I have 2 different 12 ft blanks and I would describe them as light and crisp compared to a set of Fox X5,s I have. Remember the rod you have is a 13ft stepped up blank with thicker walls to cope with 5oz plus casting weights. I would think it is probably the heaviest rod in the range. The 12ft spod rod will easily get you 100 yds with a medium spod and won't work you to death.

I'm not surprised you rate them over a set of Fox pokers.
I'm aware that a longer, higher test curve rod will weigh more than shorter rods in the same range.
My point is that compared to other 13ft Spod rods it is a heavy rod. That said it replaced my 13ft Aviator Spod, which was lighter but i preferred the softer action of the CFX.
I find it less work to use a 13ft rod than a 12ft, but everyone has their preferences. I still have an Aviator 12ft Spod that I use for a marker rod. The 13ft CFX is an easier rod to use when you put relatively small reel on it.

Yep 👍🏼 got a set of 3 x 12ft 3.25 tc with name on them. Beautiful rods. Super value for money and great service from Pete and the crew. They really are worth doing business with.
