I know Max Cottis headed it up, but after making its i3 alarms they just seemed to fade away.

Closed down years ago, pity they had some good stuff...there "razor" hooks have resurfaced being sold by a number of tackle companies, well the patterns are the same don't know if the materials are the same.

It's carpspirit now and I'm sure it's something to do with Rapala.I think at one point it was linked with quite a few other names like dynamite baits and shimano

Carp spirit have an amazing looking pod on their website, such a good design, just too heavy for me at over 4kg.

I bought one of the ACE tackle line strippers, a fantastic bit of kit that I will use forever.
I remember Max selling me his Fox LXR alarms acquired through his association with Fox because he couldn't be seen using them once he was peddling the i3's.
What a shame they are no more.

I've still got the i3 alarms, the landing net and the throwing stick
All still going strong after all these years

What do you think happened with them? was it nobody was buying their stuff, that's the usual reason but I wouldn't have thought that with ACE as it seemed to me they sold some good stuff.

There wasn't enough profit in the i-3 alarms for Shimano so it was dropped.
