Simon makes amazing stuff,Baker tents you would like for carpfishing..

I get asked all the time to do collabs on Trangia cooking, I won't do it on YouTube, asit overexposed many beautiful areas,especially down here..in the quest for subscriptions,..

I like how he put a swag set up straight into a Brandit aviator rucksack..

Literally two mins and you have a full on survival system.

I've said many times,if angling was not embedded in my soul,I'd be doing more covert camping on wayside,ditches,in the summer,woodland,on the cliffs 500 ft above sea level..

BTW,the joke is atm ,it's £39 to 'wild camping the nearby farm,I do the same in the woods,leave no trace,gone...no one would ever know..

And yes,I have been caught,but a faux polish,lithuanin accent works wonders..

Started doing a bit during the first lockdown luckily I'm about 10 mins from the Southdowns NP . Must admit I'm enjoying it more than carpcamping 😂

I know what you mean...I'm not bothered about where I go ,etc,the only thing that's a concern,and I'm far ,far away from being a wimpeth and that is ticks,where there is an overt population of deer,damp woods etc..

Ticks..,ticks..mmm,got my first one in 51 yrs not long ago..

Sean,have a look at the lixada stick stove you can fit a titanium tatonka ,or trangia burner in it as secondary fuel option..and the uco mini grill,fire pit,it won't burn the ground...no trace etc

Me too, in fact for curiosity I've just weighed three items I don't really need when doing quick over-nighters, and the alternatives I use.

Bed Chair = 10.45kg – using a Roll Mat instead = 212g
Bivvy = 9.90kg – using a Mil-Tec 2 man Dome instead = 1.8kg
Big Sleeping Bag = 3.43kg – using a “Selk” Type Sleeping Bag = 1.9kg

I've not only made a 19.86kg weight saving, I don't even need to use a Barrow anymore – in fact I only need to take two items: Bergan with tackle, bait, Trangia Cooking Gear and a Unhooking Roll Mat on top, and a Korum Transition Quiver with 3 x Rods, Landing Net, Mil-Tec Dome and Roll Mat in it.

That is brilliant Keith, last yr we fish somewhere a bit nice,all I took was 2 rods in a sleeve
Esp rucksack
Bedchair..its a RT..avid
A poncho tarp
Water filter
Very light unhooking mat..
Sleeping bag is a snugpack jungle bag.. mini trangia

Easily carried it,just three items in reality..

I got two sims,a thermarest and a multimat,both good,thermarest is really comfy..

Bushwacker man is another and a actual carper 👍
