They've lost 72 fish to this virus from the floods. Absolutely gutted for them. Never fished the place but must be soul destroying when you put in as much work as they have done. 7 of them are originals too. 
Hope they don't loose too many more.

They consulted with Simon Scott and he confirmed it's possible for it to be spread just in water, you have to remember most rivers and lakes canals the lot have koi that have been released

Suspect it would be more probable via – KHV infected Carp had breed in a water in the area and then those infected fry then spread the virus far and wide via flooding, or via over-flows to other waters downstream.
Been told stories of the same thing happening in the UK

You'd have thought that if the flood water contained enough khv in the water or in infected fry to cause an issue in Gigantica, then surely all the surrounding lakes and stock ponds would all have issues as well if they were flooded wouldn't they?
Isn't it more likely that someone has accidentally brought it onto the complex by not drying stuff off properly?
However it's got in there it's a bloody shame. I've seen first hand what this can do to a water and I can tell you it's not pretty.
Unfortunately as a fishery for a good few years it's finished. Who in their right mind would fish a water with KHV in it and then risk it being transferred back to their home water. I feel sorry for all the guys that have put in all the work to make this place what it is now.
