Looking at getting a new bedchair or sleep system. Have an old Trakker els but even with paracord as tight as I can get it, it still has a load of sag in it.
I mostly carp fish spring through to autumn so not sure I really need a sleep system, but I like the idea of it all being attached together etc.

Friend has an Avid Benchmark which seems decent.
Also looked on here and the Solar sp c tech also seems to get good reviews.

Any others I should be considering? Trakker oval? Aqua atom?
I don't want Fox or Nash.

I don't want / need a wide bed, but it does need to be 6 foot.

Just the bed,i put a fortis bag on it as the bed is a little bit heavier than some.The build quality justifies the weight imo and no negatives from me.I had the trakker els and the solar is far better built 👍

Trakker oval levelite is top (i have the Tall version, same as V2 but higher leg option) only negative: weight but worth for me considering the build quality, you cant compare the Oval levelite mattress with Trakker Els/Rlx the oval levelite Micro fleece High-density sculptured mattress is from another level

If you want a firmer matrass then the Solar sp-c tech or the Solar Ch08 cheaper then the sp-c tech but still a very good bedchair, for me the mattress of the CH08 felt better than the the Sp-c tech one.

100% agree with braders. Ive owned just about all the top end beds and now have the solar sp ctec and its by far the most comfy well built bed ive ever owned and its super firm like you want.

C-tech bed, fortis bag and a “from the dark age” Trakker Armo sleeping bag sleeve.
So much better than a sleep system as can add warmer or cooler bags should conditions dictate.

A lad I fish with has the sleep system and the bag and cover is good quality.I don't think you would be disappointed with either option

I dont like sleep systems. I have the wide ctec bed and use it with a gardner plus duver bag which fits perfectly.

Before going out and getting the solar bed. Ask yourself the one question that really matters. Do you sleep on your side , on your back or on your front . I have had the ctech bed along with numerous others. I also suffer with a bad back . But because I sleep on my side and with the lack of elastic on the solar bed it was far to firm and caused more problems than it solved. I'm now using the mk2 flatliner sleep system and is absolutely by far the best bed for the way I sleep👍. If you do sleep on your side then go for a firm bed that can be adjusted by slacken the elastics a little. To sleep on your side a bed needs even just a little give to take the contours of your shape into account . When you lay on your side your body isn't as flat as it would be if you are on your back.

The fortis I presume doesn't attach to the bedchair, is that what the bag sleeve does?

Well that's a tricky question to answer 🤣 I don't sleep well at home or on the bank and as such sleep in a variety of positions! At home I'm mostly a side sleeper. On the bank I start on my side but mostly end up on my back! So.. I don't know if a totally flat one would be good or not, and not exactly cheap to find out!

The fortis bag has a hood at either end to hold it onto your bed

I used cable ties to replace the elastic rope on mine.

Works an absolute treat !
