Hi

I'm looking for some reels my budget is £50/60 each reel.
What would you recommend?
There going on a fox compact black label rod pod with 12ft sonik rods.

I've also got some 20lb gardner line but I'm guessing that's to high I'm only fishing for carp !

Are the okumas a big reel and do they come in 2 different sizes

Similar sort of size as the shimano ultegra 5500 size reels their perfectly big enough for pairing up on 12ft rods

Agree on Okuma for that budget. Nothing seems to get close as far as quality at that price point.

Also your 20lb line is a touch heavy but will be fine as long as you aren't trying to cast to the moon, and will actually benefit you if there are snags/weed where you fish.

Could do with more info from you really. Do you want a free spoil reel. What sort of distance are you fishing? I have a set of the Okuma Inc 6000's on my 10' setup, good reels, but they're mini big pit reels, so you're limited on distance. And they don't have a free spool. Like I say, it depends what you want them for.

The lakes I I fish aren't massive so I'm not bothered about distance and I dont like bait runners

Are okuma good reels? Seen they do a smaller one and need 2 for my 6ft dwarfs

Okumas can not be beat price/performance wise
