Seen a video on the Carpology channel about a Czech baits company who have produced a hookbait that has several layers and a liquid inside it. Wondering if this is just to catch the anglers or that it might be an edge... would like to know any thoughts on this concept

I used to make baits with cod liver oil tablets inside - roll the bait around them. You could also inject whatever you like into them.
Nothing new in fishing!

Said it quite a while ago on here, imagine a bait like an M&M, crispy coating (snail) with a highly absorbable gel or something inner

I believe this has been tried before by a German firm about a decade ago..Emporer Baits I think it was? Also Jim Gibbinson played about with things like this yrs ago..Garlic Oil capsules etc wrapped in paste .

Rob Maylin mentioned something similar in one of his books way back - Microwaving baits with poly balls in, leaving a void in the middle that could be injected with attractors.

I think me and Frank Warwick came up with the same idea more or less at the same time. I did a slide show in Manchester way back in the mists of time and showed a few pix of how I had been using capsules. Frank came up to me afterwards and said, they're good aren't they? I also had serveral articles published over the years that outlined the little wheeze.

Hi Chris: This is still worth a go. So few folk doing it but it often winkles out a fish on the dog days.

(BTW, I have just edited that post to correct all the typos. Just got a new keyboard and it's a living hell

Trust you Ken

Is that a paste ball boiled around a capsule then?

Somebody once told me they were good straight on the hook and were quite instant

Not sure how long they would last though without trialling them?

I often though about putting them in mesh bags but I guess they would just float off and probably get the same attraction from an oily stick mix although I guess a capsule would plink off better.

Tried vitamin C tablets is a stick mix though
