I purchased a Fish Spy at what i thought was a good price. (£59) Had a quick look to set it up but website seems to have vanished. Just like to know if anyone has downloaded the App recently and where from?

I don't think it uses an app does it? I'm sure you just enter an address into a web browser and it connects through wifi?
Just checked looks like there is/was an app. You don't need it to use it mind you.

Thanks for the help, i tried what it says in that YouTube video but it didn't work for me, still got a few things to try before it goes back.

There is no Fishspy App. as far as i can see, i have searched numerous times and again just now after your reply, Fishspy Echo Pro yes but not the first version. Thanks anyways.

Paul are you on Android? I just searched FishSpy on my iPhone and the App pops up straight away along with the other one you mentioned.

Yes i am on Android and it does not show up when i visit Googles app store nor if i type Fishspy app as a google search. I have now managed to get the Camera working and it looks like i don't need the App anyway as mentioned above. Phew! what a palaver! (yes it is in the Apple store and i think you do need it for apple devices)

Not sure if this is true but i heard Angling Direct where selling them off for £59 as it turns out they dont work with Android?

Hi, by looks for Android, Fish Spy don't use a App, you pair in WiFi, then just find it in your Phone etc's, Browser.
Apple looks like it as a App in App store.

They are very good IMO.
I am fishing a hugely weedy water, its so bad in summer you could practically play tennis on it, ok a bit far fetched, but it's bad. A lot of people slag them off but I don't think they give them time and work out how to properly use them for instance, like turning off mobile data which in my experience really increases range.
I cast mine out at weekend hunting around for a good clear spot only about 21 wraps or so and found a perfect spot with it. My biggest problem is forgetting to turn the recording off and checking later to find I have a 956mb file.
I like it that much I have now adapted a second Bushwhacker spoon I have (originally bought two pole systems) to mechanically fix it using a bracket which is bolted back to the spoon. I now have the Fishspy and my Chirp + right alongside each other and I use a tripod with a holder which carries my Note phone and a Galaxy tablet and the result at weekend when I used that first time to sneak it under some bushes and find a nice clear spot surrounded by weed, was a beautifully scaled common within 15 minutes weighing 22lbs.
Incredible being able to see what your Chirp reading actually means when you have relatively clear water like I did up to about 1.5m
Love mine and when necessary I can just detach it and launch it out. One of the best bits of kit personally I have ever used.
