Hi Guys and Gals. I'm in the market for a bait boat and have narrowed it down to an RT4 and an X-Boat. I've eliminated the UKBB on cost, but understand the extra cost of bespoke.
Both the above I believe now have service centres in the UK, but finding Carplounge websitea bit tricky to navigate, but easy to take a boat over budget, and so have emailed them with my requirements.

With the Rt4 it's quite easy to add stuff to your spec that you don't really want thinking it's better.
Example being if you have the autopilot then the cheaper handset is actually better as it allows you to switch between the two, the more expensive Futaba doesn't allow this. Same goes for the motors, you only need the high power ones IMO if fishing a very large lake, on most UK lakes you would find them over powered and noisy.

If budget is restricted have a look at the New Direction ND2 as well.
Had RT4 for years they are good but expensive.
X Boat my mates share one and it's also been spot on...looks nice and works as it should
Can't really go too wrong with any of these

ive had a fair few boats
best ive used is my x boat with 640 and autopilot
not cheap but never had an issue
not used carp lounge so cant comment

That's good to know.
Daft thing is, I'm no fan of bait boats, but they do give you a chance to explore areas out of casting reach in time's when there's not a lot to be found in the edges.

Picked up one of these today, will hopefully give a “ noddy” account later this week as out tomorrow for a few days. Got the autopilot and fish finder too.

Sorry to Hijack the post. Has anyone had any experience with the new Gowi Osprey. Looking at getting one of these, been having a scan around and havnt found a bad comment about them. Any help would be appreciated.

I have had an Rt4 for 3 years now and they are without doubt a superb boat. Stable in all weather's, reliable and a whole host of technical add-ons make it the market leader in my opinion. My only issue with them is the company's communication is poor. They don't respond to emails and I recently had to send my wynchcam back to them and it took 3 months to get it back and that was only after emailing an insane amount of times. Delivery times are also inaccurate - if they say 6 weeks expect 12!

I've just gone for the SB3 Pro x 7 gen lithium. What a piece of kit have a look at the carp Technics website.
