Bar the VASS version is there any other boots similar in design, fast fitting comfy and warm.
Must be waterproof up to the ankle point.
Happy to go with the Vass but thought there may be another out there for less.

I found the Vass boots quick fitting but far from warm.
As recommended on here bought Baffins Trappers and never looked back.

Think you might have to compromise on the speed of fitting, to keep the waterproof to ankle ability. I don't know if a couple of Velcro would be deemed reliable enough for adult walking boots.
I've got a pair of Salomon proper walking/hiking boots that I have had for about 3yrs, still waterproof to the ankle and comfy. They are breathable and warm to wear, but not thermal to a minus degree I would say so merino or similar socks would be a good bet for proper cold weather wear especially if you are static in a fishing scenario.
Edit : Quest 4D variant is the model I have got.

Yeah currently using pro logic max5s I think it is. Nice boots and fairly warm just the ease of getting on in the night.

I use the vass thermal fleeced boots mate the brown ones with the Velcro strap, had them a couple years now and they are still perfect and let's be honest not that expensive. All I wear is a pair of thermal socks with them and my feet never get cold at all, I love mine for the winter.
I've had the green vass fleeced lined boots and the inner bit came apart after only a few sessions, I'd go straight for the more expensive ones

Yes mate that's the ones I use and have done for a couple years now, I rate them so much that if I lost them tomorrow I'd just go buy another pair straight away without trying any others

You must have better circulation than me mate cos my feet were like ice in those. Fine when moving around (too warm if anything) but no good at all sitting around. Just my honest experience.
