I am going to buy a new set of 10ft
After having seen 8 brands these 2 are on my list,.
Am not looking for other choices, it is going to be one of these two
-Daiwa Cast'izm 10ft 3.00 Cork (2 set price 317)
I was impressed by the looks of the rod and how the feels
One of the better non custom build 10ft rod in my opinion (many sites/webshops say 50mm starting eye but the starting eye is 35mm)
Or:
-Tackle Box Cfx 10ft Cork Custom build (2 set price £315.00 + £27.15 shipping costs)
-Cork handle, above reel holder no front Cork just Black collar
- 6+1 rings (40-12 )
Cfx price is with Sea guide black reel seat and Sea guide rings
Are these Sea guides reel holder and rings a good choice and does anyone happen to have user experience with the Daiwa Cast "izm 10ft?

To pay that much for a 10ft rod is madness, but your choice.
Its never going to be a long distance casting machine so why...
The 10ft rods i use cost about £30 and do all they'd ever need and are in no way a compromise.
Loads of 10ft rod threads, tons of good info already posted.

The price is acceptable to me, and I can cast 91 yards with 10ft Dwarf, for further I'm going to buy a bait boat.
And yeah I have read all those 10ft topic's but nothing about the Daiwa Cast'izm 10ft 3.00lb or about Sea guide ring / reel holder

To be honest, if I buy any rods for short range or boat work it would be the Free Spirit CTX or S-Lite. I do own a set of 9ft Scopes but I feel limited with them... I do love them but they just have that limited feel I was never 100% satisfied with them like I was my Tribals.
I'm sure you will find something you feel happy with taming the beasts that swims before you.

have a look at future fishing on Facebook,they've just put out a video of some daiwa rods they've had tweeked for themselves,alot of rod for the money and look awesome.
Future fishing are unfortunately without Cork handle and that is a must for me
Tested the new Ctx/E class gold those new blanks are to stiff even my 10ft dwarf 3.25 felt alot softer, no longer fan of the cheaper Fs range, S-range (not S lite) was a option but price is alot more.
I indeed read a lot of good about the CFX but the problem is i can't test them (live in Belgium, Daiwa's cast'izm i can test ) I don't want to end up with a 10ft rod that only bends on the tip.
Also have no idea how the quality of Sea guide rings / reel holder is.

I don't personally use these or haven't used them at all but a very good friend of mine has bought these exact rods last summer and has used them up till now, the finish on them are absolutely stunning. He loves them that much he is considering selling his 12ft torrix (his decision not mine) and having a 12ft set made up.
For me spending this much on a set of 10ft rods is absolutely fine, if you consider it ok to you then that's all that matters. Like everything in fishing if you can afford it and want it then why not? Some people might think it's crazy but I can't see a problem.

I'm using some Cotswold Rods 10ft 3.5lbs rods and i love them.
But Terry Edmonds told me the 10ft 3lbs Shimano TX2's are fantastic little rods as well!
Not expensive either, and available with cork handles.

The pink tipping and no full 1/3k weave pattern bothers me a lot from the Tx-2...
My 2 rod set is sold today, so there is money to buy Daiwa Cast'izm or Cf-X, too bad there is no user experience about the cast'izm 10ft

Ive got the 10ft 3lb cfx rods that I had custom built and they are great rods, the sea guides reel seats seem fine I can't comment on the guides as I went with the Vortex guides.

Don't think the cast'izm 10ft is available in the UK, if it were I'd be interested in the 2.5tc.
