I'd like to get my scopes re rung as the braid has cut into the supposed minima rings. Just wondered how much it would cost and if anyone on here does work like this?

You'd probably be looking at around £90-100 per rod. At a guess, depending whether or not you'd want minima ringing again or something else.

I don't think it would be worth doing cost to much is it all the rings if your just changing a few that are damaged it would be ok but as said £80 £100 per rod for all

As an example, my rod builder charges £12 per ring plus the cost of the rings. No idea how that matches up to others though.

Should be ok I've got 2 rings per rod on 2 rods. Bit disappointing the braid has done the damage it has on a reasonably expensive rod

Made me a little concerned now as my Infinity X45's have Minima guides & with what they cost, I don't fancy having to change rings every few years!!! I did query how good the Minima guides were when I bought them but was told they are fine with braid!
At least it gives me an excuse to have them rerung with Fuji K Series down the line....

Not nash's fault.
I grooved genuine minimas with braid. Just two Bob guides for anything above a specialist rod

To be fair the rods have been bang on until I switched to braid, had them a good few years too. I'll likely get a couple changed for the sake of £60

As said , i wont fit minima guides apart from grooving they bend in a strong wind, fuji or kigan for me .

Have you built a rod with the American Tackle Vortex guides people are offering instead of the minimas? Any idea how these stand up to braid? Very light and not expensive.
