My NTXr has suddenly stopped fully pairing with the receiver. I get the odd bleep when running line through the alarm and it registers intermittently when turned off. The head works fine on it's own. Assume it's a transmitter issue in the alarm? The other alarms register fine and i've tried setting them in all permutations on the receiver. They are the hard smooth plastic red 'r' version. Before i attempt to find somewhere for a repair is there anything i'm missing? It was after 18 hours of solid rain but are normally faultless and is now fully dried out. Fox don't do repairs as they have no parts for them.

Thanks. Have already sent several messages without reply. I live local enough to drop off too! Was wondering if someone had found an easy fix before i send it off for repair?

Have you checked your batteries haven't leaked?

Have you fully opened it up to see if there's out obvious ?

That's pretty poor from Fox not being able to repair considering they're not that old of a model.
Makes me worried about mine if something were to happen

I had the same problems with my LXR's when the newer model.came out.
Had to bin all 3 😡

Fox advise to contact Dalectronics. There was no need to bin them lol.

Battery compartments are fine and seperate. Dal is a short drive from me but hasn't replied to numerous messages and emails. I'm told it's the transmitter model and around £50 with service to fix IF you can get hold of him. I haven't opened it up as wasn't sure what i was doing.

I e-mailed Dal about a busted NTXR switch last week and he got back to me in 10 mins. But tbf you're not the only one I've heard has had issues with responsiveness.

I got them from the tackle box, so they had a look and couldn't fix the problem.
Then sent them to fox who said they don't do the parts anymore lol.
Then the tackle box sent them to a guy in France, sadly he couldn't repair the problem either.
Tbh I was pretty shocked that a simple alarm.couldnt be fixed but hats off to the tackle box for all there help

I had the same problem with a Delkim, I know its not the same, but, I set everything back to default and started again, all worked after that, can you do the default thing.

Dal eventually got back to me and explained he had been moving to a bigger premises and had hired an apprentice to help with the workload which was causing 6-8 week turnarounds. I live close enough to drop the reel off and have been quoted around 2 weeks. Dal believes he fixed an NTXR the day before with the same issue which was corrosion and crystallisation which explains the fact the alarm played up after rain but worked again later. Haven't had a water issue with my various Fox alarms for over 30 years so very surprised but just my personal experience with them. Bought a set of RX+ now so we shall see how the repair goes.

This is poor from Fox imo. Would make me think twice about buying them again anyway.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I think spares should be available from manufacturer for ten years after a top end alarm is discontinued. Four of these plus receiver would have around £750 from memory.

This is what puts me off ever buying fox alarms again I was looking at getting a set of rx+ at some point when I fancy a change from my delks (I get bored of my alarms easily buy different sets and change around) but the customer service is so good even with the old ones. I no of a few people having problems and finding it hard to get any help at all from fox think it's bad when your spending £600 on a set
