Do many on here use the double stove's/hobs that you see around? I dont mean the RM crap, i mean the ones that look like a case and open to form a wind break etc.
The reason i ask is when you're on your tod it looks easier to have two gas ring's to knock up decent scran and have it cooked at the same time, steak in one pan, chips or veg in another, brew on the boil same time the bacon fries, that sort of thing.
I see some take the gas canisters most single stoves use nower day's, only a few KG hevier than my Primus too by the looks of it.

I use a coleman double burner its cheaper to run than gas and thats buying Aspen at £18 for 5 litres

I dont have a picture of it but got a large griddle that fits on it and its brilliant

This is my breakfast using the griddle on my gas stove but I dont use the gas one anymore its cheaper using the Coleman and works very well on it

I used to fish a lot in France doing 2 or 3 weeks at a time often solo and one of the things I always did was eat well otherwise the wine would get me pissed lol

There was a guy on an old syndicate i fished, he had that double Coleman stove and he was an army chef. The food he used to knock up was unbelievable, couple of mess tins and a frying pan.

I used to use a Coleman gas double burner and grill with the huge blue gas bottles, and this was before barrows were used..great as you say for producing top notch grub on the bank but hellishly heavy.
I then went down the single burner route, lighter yes but a pain juggling pans etc. I mainly still use the same set up but I did buy a double burner again last year along with a Cadac regulator that allows the use of 2 smaller C500 gas canisters and for longer sessions it's proved a worthy purchase.
If you do get one try and get one with a grill, warm buttered toast is a great tool for bribing other anglers to reveal their spots, bait etc. 😉😂

I do use a double but only when I am close to the van as along with the gas it is quite heavy compared to my single Coleman
