Right just a quick question. I've been on furlough for the past 12 weeks. And today I got a phone call from work saying that I'll be getting a job at risk letter. And I'll have to go in for a meeting and so on. I'm 99 percent shore thay will get rid of me. But the question is. Can that get rid of me while I'm on furlough or do I have to go back for X amount of time has anyone else been in the same situation

Yes they can make you redundant at my work a few people that were on furlough have been made redundant within the last month

Hopefully they won't , but things could get very unpleasant this winter , keep hold of your pennies people , if you can !

Hi chopper,worrying times at the moment mate been furloughed since end of march,hopefully return beginning of november,good luck with your meetings.

Scary times indeed. Anyone that is still furloughed at this point needs to be aware that the risk is very high.

Yes thats whats worrying me the most,but to be honest with redundancy,s surely criteria has to be considered length of service,absenteeism etc.

The building trade is as busy as i have ever known it , for now ! certain materials are getting hard to get hold of , quiet before the storm !
