Are these reels that good ahead of daiwa and shimano any negative comments at all feedback please sorry just seen another thread on this

Been debated lately whether they're better than Shimano or Daiwa. I can't comment on the comparison but I can tell you that for 100 quid the penns are the best value for money I could find at the time. Had mine 6-7 years now and they've not missed a beat.

I would buy a set quickly cos judging by the the price of the new carbon version Penn have probably decided that they've been under selling on price. That or it was a loss leader to gain market entry.

I just ordered 3 black carbon ones from the German website. Quite excited to get them now..
