I've just started fishing a fairly weedy lake. I've been using the korda hooks as the hooks I use to use and like I can't seem to get hold of. ( Drenam super specialist). I don't like using the korda hooks as I find that bend to easy. the question is what strong hook do you recommend for fishing a weedy lake

Gardner continental range, or carp R Us centurions if you can find them.
Korda do their ‘X' versions too which are a thicker gauge. I don't buy in to the ‘Korda hooks are crap' b*llocks, I've never had an issue personally.

I tested a bunch of hooks in my lab at work a few years ago and Atomic came out the toughest. They're hard as nails.

I used to use Solar 101s stronghold but last couple of years used the Carp R Us ATS Continentals in size 2, a beast of a hook👍👍

Gardner Continental Mugga's are super strong, + another vote for Atomic's.
Anything will be stronger than the super specialists... they're chub hooks.

I didn't realize carp r us where still going ? Thort that had disappeared years ago. I did use them about 20 years ago and found the hooks good

Their Centurions are a proper beast of a hook. I'll use them for snags but for a bit of weed I don't think you need anything particularity special.

The Continentals are an addition to the cRu range, a slightly different version of the original Centurion 2000. Features a longer Ultra sharp point, slightly longer shank and looks to be slightly heavier gauge wire.

Had the exact same issue with Korda on my weedy venue. Hooks bent and broke very frequently. Tried and tested several brands, and have been using Gardner without any problems for over two years.
